Graffiti CMS is certifiably awesome.
If you couldn't tell or didn't already know, we are using Telligent's Graffiti CMS as our content delivery platform. As a former consultant for creating content management systems, I know how easy and hard it can be to make these systems. Vignette, anyone? Doing a simple CMS system is easy. Doing a really good one is hard. Graffiti CMS is probably the best I've seen at what it does. It is truly easy, yet powerful, and it just plain makes sense. I give it 5 stars, and it is the best alternative to Wordpress, or any of the other content delivery systems for content-publishing websites.
In truth, the Graffiti system is nearly infinitely extensible, and to call it (or even just compare it to) a blogging system would be doing it a grave injustice. It is clear Graffiti has way more power than what we are doing with it, and that is part of what makes it beautiful. If you want to get it up and running quickly, with an easy, self-explanatory setup, configuration, and deployment, Graffiti does that. Want to get down and dirty and customize every last rendering option and widget on your website to create a mega-portal? Well, Graffiti does that too!
We here at TrustyGamer are a small shop. We don't have more than 3 people actively publishing content, nor are we a commercial site selling anything to the public (well, maybe with the exception of selling our own BS, j/k). As such, we didn't have to purchase a commercial license for Graffiti, but we did anyway. Why? Because it is a kickass product, and the people behind it deserve the money.
Kudos to Telligent on making a badass product.
