3 Grand Theft Auto IV bugs that need to go away.
We've done enough bitching about GTA IV's shortcomings. Regardless, we can't help but point out 3 really annoying flaws in this game that need fixing. Even if Rockstar doesn't get around to fixing the issues we've mentioned previously, I really really really hope they at least fix these bugs in Grand Theft Auto IV's multiplayer:
1) There is no easy way to permanently mute a player. You can pull up your cell phone to mute a player during a round, however that mute is only good for that round! As soon as the round is over, that player is un-muted again! In order to mute a player permanently, you have to do it at the Xbox Live! account level, which means pulling up their gamer profile, and muting them that way. Seeing as how the blade system isn't exactly running at turbo speed, especially with GTA IV running in the background, this process is slow and cumbersome. Rockstar, please fix it so the cell phone mute is permanent please!!!! And let us do it from the lobby without having to pull up individual profiles while you're at it. Better yet, play Halo 3 for 5 minutes and just copy what Bungie does. Thanks.
2) Hosts can't kick multiple players without taking a vote. If I am hosting the match, let me kick whoever I want! If a couple of players are being disruptive, there is no reason we should have to take a vote to boot them. Please give the host the ability to kick players without approval from the rest of the group. If a host is abusing his power, chances are everybody will quit anyway, so there is no need to enforce voting on what should be a host-given right.
3) No match settings are remembered between rounds. Let's say you keep playing Cops and Crooks over and over, but you prefer the All-For-One mode... Be prepared to change that setting round after round after round, because the game doesn't remember the last settings that the host used! Rockstar, please make GTA IV remember multiplayer game settings between rounds! It's the least you could do!
That's it for now... if you do nothing else, at least fix these 3 issues before you go on vacation. Thanks Rockstar! So what say you, readers? What are your top 3 GTA issues you want to see fixed?

um, a difference in design implemplentation is not a bug. If you dont like something about a game its an opinion, not a bug. I-dot.

That is a somewhat fair comment, but you can't say with certainty that they were design decisions either. One can reasonably expect a game to remember host settings in between rounds (because every other game ever created does that), but GTA IV doesn't do this.
Once you mute somebody, you can reasonably expect them to stay muted. GTA IV unmutes players between rounds. Strange.
Since the game lets you kick one player without a vote, its reasonable to assume you can kick another, yet in GTA IV, the vote system kicks in.
Thus, I'd say these are closer to bugs than design decisions.

I agree man. They are all the more aggrevating because they are such small things that should be standard but as the rounds go on and on, you begin to notice them more and more.

You COMPLETELY forgot the freezing bug that has made it so that there are many people(myself included) that can't even play single player.

Hmmm, I haven't come accross the freeze bug yet myself. Is that the PS3 or Xbox 360 you have?
